This is a one day course that is very informative. It involves learning about different types of kites and associated equipment, whilst also addressing safety issues before starting out on a trainer kite. Whilst piloting the trainer kite you will learn the theory of the wind window. The wind window is the theoretical explanation for the way the kite flies to create its power. You will learn how to set up a kite, before getting kitted up and heading onto the water, taking the skills you have learnt from the land into water. When in the water you will learn the art of bodydragging, safe flying techniques, and what to do if everything goes wrong (safety pack down). This course will ensure you fully understand how to fly and control a kite safely. You will become certified to BKSA level 1.
