Learn to Windsurf this Summer!
Hunstanton Sailing Club
Hunstanton Sailing Club has a history of welcoming people interested in a variety of water/wind sports, including windsurfing and more recently kitesurfing. Like dinghy sailors, both these groups enjoy the challenges provided by the sea, but they also enjoy stronger winds, and turn up whenever the conditions are right for them.
The club was founded in 1949 and HSC members have been sailing a variety of vessels in and around the Wash since then. We are a Royal Yachting Association affiliated members club, run by, and for the members, to promote the sport of sailing and social activities connected with it. The current membership is just over 150, with a good mix of dinghy, catamaran, sail boarders and kite surfers. HSC is alsoÂnow the local BKSA affiliated club (British Kitesurfing Association)
The club is conveniently located on the sea front in Hunstanton overlooking the Wash in a westerly direction giving some spectacular sunsets. The sailing is good too!!

Kitesurfing at HSC
An ideal location due to its large open beaches, flat water and lack of obstacles - Hunstanton has long been a mecca for kitesurfing enthusiasts. However it is in the past couple of years, with the introduction of safer and more user-friendly equipment, that the popularity of the sport has really taken off. Many local kitesurfers were previously windsurfing members of Hunstanton Sailing Club and consequently knew all the benefits of HSC membership. This last year has seen that knowledge spill over into the rest of the kitesurf community with many more kiters joining the sailing club. Indeed, 2005 onwardsÂhas seen a fantastic community spirit develop across all the watersports, culminating in some great social events.
