2012 Naish Skater Kite Surfboard
This years surfboard range from naish has a couple of new additions. One of which is the Skater.
When you first see it you will be blown away by the quality of the finsh and the slick smooth lines. The foam core is wrapped in composite laminates, which overlap on the rails. Over these laminates, the board is wrapped again in high-density, closed-cell foam. After laminating additional layers of reinforcement, the board is finished with the layers of bamboo and composite laminates. The bamboo laminate provides outstanding heel dent and pressure resistance and adds overall strength.
The end result is a board with the perfect strength-to-weight ratio.
The Board looks a little small and the sizes may put some people off but take note of the with and the volume in the mid section and just give it a go. I normally ride a 6'6" due to my size and never thought i'd be on anything under 6 foot but the new 5.9 Skater is definitly my choice for 2012.
The 2012 Naish Skater is perfect if you are looking for that true surfboard feel. Designed to be ridden strapless but has the plugs so strapps can be added. The skater can also be ridden as a rugular surfboard when the wind is low.
The board comes with no straps and no bag which helps on the price bringing it in at under £550 whish is very competative for a top end wave board.
Sizes: 4’8” x 19¾”, 5’4” x 19”, 5’9” x 19”
